Description

Personally found this specimen of Blue Sheen Obsidian in the Valley Of Fires, New Mexico. Obsidian is found in many locations worldwide. It is confined to areas of geologically recent volcanic activity. Obsidian older than a few million years is rare because the glassy rock is rapidly destroyed or altered by weathering, heat, or other processes. Specimen is 2 1/4" long & 1 1/4" wide by 1 1/2" thick. They most significant & special thing about this specimen other than its beautiful luster, is that contained inside this Volcanic Rock similar to Quartz it holds a gold nugget that in my professional opinion weighs in between 10-12 grams. Call Mr.Daniel Garcia (575) 415-2783 for questions, updated pictures, or to personally View the Specimen.
