It asks how thick the item is
It will then ask how you'd like it done i.e.; rare, med, well, etc.
It will then tell you when to place item on the grill
It will tell you when to turn, if necessary
It will tell you when done (to perfection)
OR
You can simply "wing it" and bypass all of the above
